Montevideo-

We found this hustling bay city to be very interesting for its European style architecture and hustling city life.  After examining leather goods in a tourist trap we hired a van for a hop around the city including a very modern mall that had once been a prison.  At one point we were stopped by the police who confiscated the license plate of the van but allowed us to continue.  Not sure what it was all about but we decided it enhanced the cultural experience.
